Wayne State has named it's recruiting class. Kati Jo Christiansen of Audubon Iowa is among the five named as is Megan Wittkop of Ankeny. Wittkop is transfering from SW MN State. Jennifer Yee from Millard West Nebraska and Janna Schrieber from Campbell County, Wyoming round out the five. NORTHERN STATE NINE
No, this isn't a softball story, it is about the nine recruits headed for Aberdeen and Northern State. It was reported in the StarTribune that Krissy O'Toole of Wayzata was headed to St. Cloud State and I put it up yesterday too, but she is one of the Northern State nine. Two St. Michael-Albertville players: Marla Arns, and Jodi Reinschmidt are headed that way. STMA finished 4th in the MN AAA Tournament. Ashely Genske, Mayer Lutheran also will travel west. Krista Rabenberg of Mobridge, SD. Her team finished second in the SD A tournament. She made the AP A Second team all state as did Alison Johnson of Stickney-Mt. Vernon. Lenea Mueller of Custer was on the 3rd team. The other players I believe I have listed already. Brittany Fuhrman, Mobridge and Danielle Bauer, Dell Rapids are off to Black Hills State University. Fuhrman's team was second in the SD A Tournament and she was named to the AP All State 3rd team. The Sacajawea Tournament in Sioux City Iowa has five teams filled out for next years tournament: Sioux City North, the defending champions; Phoenix St. Mary's, the second place finisher; South Sioux City, Nebraska; Battle Creek-Ida Grove, IA; and Crofton, Nebraska.
