RULEY STEPS DOWN
North Dakota State Coach Amy Ruley is stepping down. From the Fargo Forum.

JUNKER TO WINONA STATE
Amber Junker from Eden Valley-Watkins ended her prep career with 1001 rebounds and 1328 points. She is second in school history behind the great Janice Streit in rebounds. She will be playing her college ball for Winona State University under Coach Ballard.
Junker is the 60th player in the Minnesota 2008 class to commit and the 34th to go to a D2 program.

MORE MILESTONES
Abby Busch of GFW reached the 1000 rebound mark.

Katie Loberg became the girl's all time leading scorer at Princeton High School with her 21 points in a loss vs. Becker on Saturday. She now stands at 1,375 points, breaking Tessa Gronli's record of 1,369 points. Katie also ends her junior year with 990 career rebounds and 380 career blocks.

Erianne Bright, a senior from Cherry, is over the 1000 career rebound mark. she reached it on January 28, 2008.

AWARDS
Iowa's Johanna Solverson (Lake Zurich, IL) was named co Big 10 player of the week.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE TOURNAMENT
Williston State beat NDSCS 72-55. From the Williston Herald.

MINNESOTA

Detroit Lakes rallied to beat Sartell 56-46 in the 8AAA semis. From the Detroit Lakes Tribune.

MICHIGAN
Paw Paw coach Gary Mitchell had his head shaved after a district win. From the Paw Paw Courier Leader.
I have had sophomore teams ask if we went undefeated if they could shave my head. I said, "sure and if we lose a game I shave your heads." Amazingly there were no takers on that end of the deal.
