Purdue beat Iowa 80-73. Iowa led by 17 in the first half. Keshia Mosley (Detroit Community) had 18 for Purdue. Stacy Schlapkohl (Durant, IA) had 15 for Iowa.

Illinois beat Michigan State 55-41. Jenna Smith (Bloomington Kennedy) had 16 for Illinois.

Wisconsin's Jolene Anderson (South Shore, WI) won the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award, presented annually to the nation's outstanding female collegian 5-8 and under who has excelled both athletically and academically.

Dayton beat Charlotte 77-53. Brittany Holterman (Racine Prairie) had 6 for Dayton.

George Washington beat Rhode Island 70-43. Stefani Munro (Mt. Clemens, MI) had 4 for GWU.

Xavier beat St. Joseph's 74-52. Amy Wold (Cedar Rapids Kennedy) had 7 for St. Joseph's.

Temple beat Richmond 70-62. Shenita Landry (Milwaukee King) had 3 for Temple.

DePaul beat Marquette 73-69. Krystal Ellis (Racine St. Catherine) had 15 for Marquette. Angel Robinson (St. Paul Central) added 14 for Marquette.

Krystal Ellis was named to the All Big East First team and Angel Robinson was named to the All Big East Freshman team.
