It wasn't a good day for the Big 10 yesterday as the conference went 1-3. Michigan State was the only survivor in the WNIT.
NCAA TOURNAMENT
Florida State beat Ohio State 60-49. Tamarah Riley (Detroit DePorres) had 3 for OSU.

Iowa State beat Georgia Tech 58-55. Kelsey Bolte (Battle Creek-Ida Grove) had 19 for ISU. Amanda Nisleit (Woodbury) had 11 for Iowa State. It was loud for the Cyclones and Bolte. ISU used the 3 ball to good effect. From the Des Moines Register.

West Virginia beat New Mexico 61-60. Amy Beggin (Roseville) had 11 for New Mexico.

UTEP beat Western Kentucky 92-60. Jareica Hughes (Southfield-Lathrup, MI) had 17 for UTEP.

Vanderbilt beat Montana 75-47. Amy Malo (Fairmont) did not score for Vandy.

Stanford beat Cleveland State 85-47. Dominique Butler (Milwaukee Madison) had 6 for CSU.

James Madison beat Indiana 86-81 in overtime. Jamie Braun (Marshfield, WI) had 14 for Indiana.

Villanova beat Wisconsin 60-54. Jolene Anderson (South Shore, WI) had 21 for the Badgers. Tara Steinbauer (Bloomington Kennedy) had 8 for Wisconsin. The Dance is over says the Capital Times.

Texas Tech beat Texas State 82-49. Marie Moser (Cedar Rapids Jefferson) had 2 for Texas State.

Drake beat UW Green Bay 65-56. Jill Martin (Norwalk, IA) had 15 for Drake. UWGB was cold. From the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Michigan State beat Bowling Green 74-66. Allyssa DeHaan (Grandville, MI), Lauren Aitch (Lansing Waverly, MI), and Mandy Piechowski (Utica, MI) each had 12 for MSU. Mia Johnson (Mpls North) did not score for the Spartans.
