There were two upsets, mild upsets, in this division yesterday.
In the 1 semis it was #3 Lakeville North beating #2 Owatonna 44-41. It was the second time LN beat Owatonna this year.
Also in 5 #5 Cooper beating #4 Park Center 59-55. Cooper lost their first game of the yeat to PC by 35 points.

The only clear upset was the report I gave last night with #2 North Perham, the 6th place finisher in the Heart O'Lakes beating #1 South Willmar 63-53.

Another #1 seed went down in the sub section
In 2: #3 Fairmont beat #2 LeSueur-Henderson 83-71.
In 3: #1 North West Central (of the Heart O'Lakes) was upended by #4 Montevideo 66-59. In the South half #3 Jackson County Central topped #2 Luverne 52-49
In 4: a mild upset with #5 Breck ending #4 Rockford's season 61-52.
In 5: A stunner with #6 Mayer Lutheran bouncing #3 Glencoe-Silver Lake out of the picture 70-65 in the South half of the bracket. In the North Half a mild upset #5 St. Cloud Cathedral topped #4 BBE 74-57.
In 6: Another 5 over 4 mild upset as Long Prairie-Grey Eagle dumped Staples-Motley 52-49.
In 7: yet another 5 over 4 with Mesabi East victorious over Proctor 69-65.
In 8: you guessed it, another 5/4 win. This time it was Frazee over Pine River-Backus 48-42 in the South subsection.

1: An upset in the West subsection finals with #2 New Life beating #1 Goodhue 73-67. Goodhue beat New Life earlier in the year.
3: In the north it was #4 Dawson-Boyd upending their second victim. They already beat #1 seed RTR, yesterday it was #2 Minneota feeling the heat 55-51. In the south #2 Fulda "upset" if that is the term #1 SW Star 56-44. SW Star did beat Fulda during the regular season.
7: A bigger upset with #6 Isle stopping #3 Carlton 38-31.
8: there was another 6 over 3 as Red Lake Falls beat Grygla-Goodridge-Gatzke 68-59 in the East. Another typical 5/4 upset Climax-Fisher beat Norman County West in the west 52-43.

8: #1 Moorhead outscored #5 Elk River 74-63. From the Fargo Forum and Elk River Star News. St. Cloud Tech defeated #6 Buffalo 51-40. plus other games from the St. Cloud Times.

1: In a twice delayed quarterfinal Albert Lea beat Winona 55-45. From the Winona Daily News.
2: #1 Marshall got revenge on #4 Mankato West 70-60. In the first game of the year Marshall lost to MW 60-58. From the Mankato Free Press.
#2 Worthington beat #6 New Ulm 63-50. Earlier in the week New Ulm won their first section game in 23 years. From the New Ulm Journal.
6: Rogers had no problems at all with Columbia Heights 78-12 and welcomed back Jennifer Dowd. From the Elk River Star News.

2: MN Valley Lutheran needed overtime to beat Blue Earth 60-56 from the New Ulm Journal.
8: DGF stopped Wadena-Deer Creek 76-41. From the Fargo Forum.

1: New Life moves on to the section final with their 73-67 win over #1 Goodhue. Goodhue beat NL by 15 earlier in the year. Brittney Lodermeier did reach the 1000 point mark in the loss. From the Rochester Post Bulletin.
2: In the South Springfield dodged Truman 58-54 to advance to the subsection finals.
In the North Cedar Mountain-Comfrey beat Holy Trinity 71-38. New Ulm Cathedral won the rubber match with Sleepy Eye St. Mary's 47-43. From the New Ulm Journal.
5; Royalton's Brooke Winscher hit the 1000 point mark exactly with 12 seconds left in a 81-39 loss to Osakis.
6: Park Christian ended New York Mills season 71-38. From the Fargo Forum.
