All NW Iowa; NICL All Star Thriller

AWARDS & HONORS
The Sioux City Journal names their All NW Iowa team. Kelsey Bolte of Battle Creek-Ida Grove and the SC North duo of Jacqui Kalin and Tanayea Worden lead the squad.
Kirk Walker, Sioux City North has been named coach of the year in the Sioux City Journal.

The Omaha World Herald has listed their Western Iowa All Area team. SC North's Jacqui Kalin, BC-IG's Kelsey Bolte and IKM's Nelia Olson are the leaders of the respective teams.

Megan Andrew is one of the three captains of the Quad City Times All Area team. Here is the Metro, Eastern Iowa, and Western Illinois Teams.

ALL STAR GAME
The North Iowa Cedar League had their All Star game yesterday and it was the East over the West 63-62 in 2 overtimes. They trailed by as many as 11 in the second half. Wapsie Valley's Alana Wittenburg made the game winning free throw for the East. Mindy Hutchcroft of AGWSR led all scorers with 19 points.

Today the SWI Classic All-Star game sponsored by the Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil and held at Western Iiowa CC has its tip off at 3 pm today.
