UW Green Bay Tops New Mexico

NCAA TOURNAMENT
MINNEAPOLIS
Iowa State landed PG Lyndsey Medders by chance. From the StarTribune. ISU faces Georgia who beat ISU in 1999 for the right to go to the final four. From the Des Moines Register.

Washington lost more than the game on Saturday against Iowa State. They lost coach June Daugherty who was fired.

Tennessee had too much for underdog Drake 76-37. The odds were too steep according to the Des Moines Register. St. Croix Lutheran's Lauren Dybing had 8 for Drake.

UW Green Bay advanced with a 59-52 win over New Mexico. UWGB trailed at half, from the Green Bay Press Gazette. They also have tidbits from the tournament. Bay Port's Nicole Soulis had 15 for UWGB. Roseville's Amy Beggin had 3 for New Mexico.

Michigan State won their game with Delaware 69-58 but they weren't clicking after a two week lay off. From Bob Becker's column in the Grand Rapids Press. Mpls North's Mia Johnson had 13 for MSU.

Temple upended Nebraska 64-61. Cannon Falls' Cory Montgomery had 5 for Nebraska.

WNIT
Minnesota will play at Western Kentucky tonight. The StarTribune has a preview and if the Gophers win they will return back to Williams Arena for the next round.

Wisconsin beat Arkansas State 77-45. South Shore's Jolene Anderson racked up 30 in the win.
