The Mason City Globe Gazette has named their All area team. Stacey Schutjer of WCLT was named Player of the year.

The 11th–annual Southeast Iowa Senior All–Star Girls Basketball Game went to White 70-49 over Gray. Melanie McCreight led the way for White with 16 points. From the Burlington Hawkeye.

The West beat the East 75-60 in the second Iowa Central All-Star Game. From the Fort Dodge Messenger.
