Hopkins came out firing from long range and the contest was over pretty quickly. The Royals first five scores involved three point plays, four from behind the arc and one old fashioned (that didn't connect) as they buil
t an insurmountable 16-3 lead. It ballooned to 23-3 as Armstrong had a 13 possession drought. Armstrong had 7 turnovers in their first 10 possessions as the Hopkins defense was dialed in. This contest never was close. It was 44-14 at half and at the biggest spread 60-23 before the subs took over.
