It was an extremely busy Saturday. A few #1s dropped yesterday. The biggest was #1S 7AA Braham to tournament savvy Esko in the quarterfinals. Three on a match is hard. In 5AA north it was #2 Howard Lake-W-W topping #1 Eden Valley-Watkins 53-45.

1: for the second year in a row Caledonia beat Winona Cotter 66-60 in the East subsection final. This year Caledonia was #1 seed. From the Rochester Post Bulletin and Winona Daily News.

In the west the tight game success of #5 seed Pine Island finally came to an end in a 39-35 overtime loss to #3 seed Rochester Lourdes. PI had won 5 straight nail biters. PI led by 13 in the second half in this game. From the RPB.

6: In the East #1 seed Albany survived their Glaeser's Theorem moment with a 42-37 over rival New London-Spicer.
