Two #1 seeds bit the dust last night. Goodhue, and Adrian's seasons are over.
Things heat up today with section semis throughout the state. A few sections will be holding quarterfinals as well.

The semis of 3AAAA at St. Olaf. #3 seed Lakeville North faces #2 Park-Cottage Grove. The two met at Rochester in December with PCG winning in overtime.

7: Last night I was in Duluth for the out & abouts. I have put the numbers, but not a lot of copy on the Grand Rapids and Hibbing wins. You can read the Duluth News Tribune and their version of events.

2: #1 east seed Hayfield beat Kenyon-Wanamingo 58-39. In the upset #3 east seed Byron beat #2 Blooming Prairie 66-64 on a Jill Storlie shot with five seconds left. From the Austin Daily Herald.

3: Fairmont beat Jackson County Central 58-53 to move to the finals. From the Fairmont Sentinel and Worthington Daily Globe.
In the north half it was Minnesota Valley Lutheran topping GFW 76-73. From the New Ulm Journal.

1: #1 west seed Goodhue fell to Faribault Bethlehem Academy 65-58 in overtime. FBA scored 22 points on Tuesday in their subsection semifinal win over Randolph.

#1 east seed Rushford-Peterson avoided an upset bid by #6 LeRoy-Ostrander 48-37. RP trailed 11-0 to start the game. From the Winona Daily News.

2: Cedar Mountain-Comfrey beat New Ulm Cathedral 44-31. Also in the north half Sleepy Eye St. Mary's beat McLeod West 72-40. From the New Ulm Journal.

3: #1 south seed Adrian lost to SW Star 61-53. From the Worthington Daily Globe.

In the North it was RTR besting Minneota for the third time this season 50-45. From the Marshall Independent.

1: Northfield beat Winona 59-41 on Wednesday. Today they face Owatonna.

8: Bemidji faces Brainerd in a semi at Wadena. From the Bemidji Pioneer.
