MINNESOTA REPORTS
final edition
15 more girls basketball teams punched state tickets last night. The biggest upset---no more unblemished teams as Cedar Mountain-Comfrey upended GHEC 50-48 in the 2A Finals. GHEC wasn't the only #1 to fall. Six dropped. Also of note--there will be a new AAA champ as Becker fell for the third time this season to Rogers.
Also Glaeser's Theorem picked off teams that had the unfortunate luck to have their bad half in the championship. Case in point---New Prague was up at half time 27-18 and lost 39-36 to Austin. Kennedy had their bad half in the second as I reported last night in my out & about. They had a 12 point lead at half time and lost by 2 to Chaska. Holy Family had the opposite problem with their bad half early as they trailed HLWW 35-15 at halftime. The Fire lost 69-61.
7 team punch their state tickets today. The best bet:
Minneapolis Roosevelt vs Jordan at Delano at 3 pm. Both teams met on a Monday in Jordan and it was a tight contest until two Roosevelt players knocked each other out.
