LaCrosse Logan surprised Middleton 58-54. From the LaCrosse Tribune and Wisconsin State Journal.
From eyewitness accounts: This was a great game. Logan had wonderful displays of team and coaching unity. Everyone stood each time a player came out and high 5d/shook hands. All 5 coaches were contributors to Tom Campbell's coaching. He was in charge, but valued each and every coaches' input. Although Logan was down a bucket most of the night, they stuck together with team work and pulled it out at the end.
Logan's Danielle Jorgenson, a 6-3 forward that can dribble and drive like a guard, jumps beautifully and has a soft outside shot, had 18 points on the the night and didn't play as much as she'd have like due to early foul trouble. Michelle Mueller came up with some key blocks late in the game to deny Middleton the score. She is only a freshman and is the daughter of Barb Frye (HS basketball and track standout at Onalaska Luther in the 70s) and Dale Mueller (UW RF football player)
Kailtlin Kessensich, 5-4 guard lead scorers for Middleton.
