SECTION REALIGNMENT
The state has sliced and diced the schools into new pies this year. Every two years they realign sections. For example Hopkins and Mpls South will be in one section. Both are #1s in their section now.
I haven't digested it all yet, but Section 3 in AAAA looks like an unpleasant place to be. Using the current #1 seeds in AAAA Section 1 would be vacant. The only one left standing now is Northfield who is in AAA this year. Section 2 would be vacant. Section 3 has Rosemount as a #1 seed today. Section 4 still has St. Paul Central. Section 5 has Centennial and Osseo. Section 6 has Hopkins and Mpls South. Section 7 has Duluth East, but they are a #1 seed in AAA. Section 8 is pretty much unchanged.
Check out the mapping feature. It is pretty interesting.
