Burnett Resigns at Michigan

Previous success was hard to come by at Michigan writes the Ann Arbor News. Jim Carty of the AAN looks at why the plan never bore fruit. Analysts think the Michigan job is a great opportunity.
Candidates include Eastern Michigan's Suzy Merchant and Bowling Green's Curt Miller according to the Detroit News.

Iowa State beat Kansas State 57-45. Ankeney's Nicki Wieben had 18 for ISU, West Central's Megan Ronhovde contributed one point to the margin, while Woodbury's Amanda Nisleit chipped in four for ISU.

Colorado edged Texas Tech 71-67. Mounds View's Hannah Skildum did not score for Colorado.

Kansas moved on with a 71-62 upset win over Oklahoma State. Adrian MI's Kelly Krohn had 14 for Kansas.

Princeton dropped Penn 61-51. Apple Valley's Ali Prichard did not score for Princeton.

MIDAMERICAN
Northern Illinois upset #2 East seed Kent State 72-68. Holy Angels' Kristin Wiener had 13 for NIU.

Eastern Michigan topped Ohio 79-69. Elkhart Memorial IN's Alyssa Pittman and Nobelsville, IN's Sarah Van Metre each had 22 for EMU.

Ball State ended Western Michigan's season 56-53. Detroit Country Day's Carrie Moore had 19 for WMU.

MIDCONTINENT
Oral Roberts stopped Oakland 72-55. Clawson's Jessica Pike had 18 for Oakland.

MOUNTAIN WEST
Air Force grounded Colorado State 47-46. The Breck twosome of Emily Neal and Kelly Finley had 9 and 3 for CSU.

WAC
San Jose State beat Idaho 72-66. Cedarburg's Molly Malone had 3 for Idaho.
