Totals 55 22 12 11

Comments by Coach Holleman: "Once again, we dug ourselves a hole in the opening half as we trailed 34-22 at halftime and then came back and played them evenly in the second half (35-33). At one point we missed eight bunny shots in a row in the first half. The Owls knocked down eight treys in this game (Noordmans - 3, Holleman - 4, and Cunningham - 1). The girls did a great job of boxing out the entire game. Jenny Noordmans played an outstanding second half for the Owls."

GAME 3
Hancock Girl's Basketball Team loses to New Life Academy in Consolation Round of Sweet 16 Tournament
On Sunday, August 5th, Hancock was finally matched up against a Class A team of New Life Academy (a private school in the Twin Cities). The Owls ended up losing this heartbreaker by a score of 49-40. Stats were as follows:
Points Rebounds Steals Assists
Jenny Noordmans 20 10 2 0
Chelsea Voorhees 0 3 0 1
Bree Holleman 10 3 0 6
Lindsie Cunningham 5 1 0 0
Hannah Newhouse 5 5 2 1
Kelsey Olson 0 2 0 0
Kaylee Voorhees 0 1 0 0
Aria Walstad 0 0 0 0
Lauren Nelson 0 0 0 0
Totals 40 25 4 8

Comments by Coach Holleman: "The Owls came out on fire and played some outstanding basketball in the opening half and led 34-26 at halftime; however, we couldn't seem to buy a basket in the second half. The wheels fell off the wagon for the Owls when Bree Holleman went down with a knee injury with seven minutes remaining in the game with a nine point lead. NLA took advantage of the Owl point guard on the bench and turned up the defensive full court pressure to bounce right back into the game and take the lead with about three minutes remaining. Hancock was forced to foul down the stretch and NLA cashed in on their free-throws to seal the win."

GAME 4
Hancock Girl's Basketball Team loses to Big Fork

On Sunday, August 5th, Hancock played their final game of the day against Class A, Bigfork, and ended the Sweet 16 tournament with a loss. Stats were as follows:

Points Rebounds Steals Assists
Jenny Noordmans 18 7 4 4
Chelsea Voorhees 24 6 0 2
Bree Holleman injured
Lindsie Cunningham 3 0 1 1
Hannah Newhouse 3 6 0 1
Kelsey Olson 2 2 0 1
Kaylee Voorhees 0 3 0 0
Aria Walstad 3 1 1 1
Lauren Nelson 0 1 0 0
Totals 53 26 6 10

Comments by Coach Holleman: "I was very pleased with seniors, Jenny Noordmans and Chelsea Voorhees, who stepped it up with the absence of Bree Holleman in this game. Chelsea scored 24 points and Jenny Noordmans scored 18 points. Big Fork came out on fire and it was raining threes for a while, but the Owls pushed the ball inside and did a great job of attacking the basket. I was also pleased with the performance of all our younger athletes. They received an opportunity to play some varsity minutes and played some excellent basketball. We were very honored to have this opportunity to play in this elite tournament. A special thanks goes out to Jeff McCarron, Pacesetter, for hosting a top-notch tournament!"
