MICHIGAN BATTLES
If you haven't heard yet, Michigan is changing their basketball season to the winter. How the switch happened (lawsuit by Jay Roberts-Eveland founder of the Communities for Equities) and the reaction of the stakeholders (schedules, gym space, refs) are recounted in the Saginaw News.
The Saginaw News also has a story on why the girls basketball season was moved to the fall back in 1973 in the first place.

Oddly enough junior high seasons did not switch. Also from the Saginaw News.

Thanks to the readers for the great help. That is why this site is the first stop for many to find out what is happening. If you have news, go to my profile and email me.
