COLLEGE REPORTS
HORIZON
UW Green Bay thumped Butler 91-64 to advance to the NCAA D1 tournament. Bay Port's Nicole Soulis had 21 to lead UWGB. The Green Bay Press Gazette reports that UWGB left no doubt. The GBPG columnist Mike Vandermause writes about how UWGB took care of business.

MISSOURI VALLEY
#8 seed Drake stumped Creighton 65-64 in overtime to advance to the NCAA D1 tournament. It has been one crazy ride for Drake. They were the preseason #1 team in the MVC, but Jill Martin was lost for the year with a back injury five games into the season, and then, right before the MVC tournament leading scorer Brandy Dahir was out with mono. Drake trailed by 11 late in the game. Okoboji's Kelsey Keizer saved the best for last scoring all five of her points, and all five of Drake's points in overtime. St. Croix Lutheran's Lauren Dybing had 16 for Drake. Eastview's Michelle Kaus had 3, and Mpls North's Tyrai Bronson did not score for Creighton. Also from the Des Moines Register. DMR columnist Sean Keeler has more on the Scrappy Bulldogs.

The University of Minnesota will host the NCAA D1 Tournament first round games on the 17th and 19th. The StarTribune looks at what and who may appear in Minneapolis.

Iowa State will play the waiting game to see where they will end up. From the Des Moines Register.

FINGER BITING TIME
Michigan State coach Joan McCallie has issued a statement about the incident with her husband last week in Florida. From the WLNS news. The State News (the Michigan State newspaper) wants an apology.

I appreciate all the collaboration that comes in to make this site the place to be for girls basketball.
