CONCUSSION DISCUSSION
The Sioux Falls Argus Leader continues their series on injuries with concussions. Of course football gets a lot of attention, but Garretson, SD had three girls basketball players that had concussions last season too.
Also Rochelle Lauret a trainer at Sioux Falls O'Gorman is profiled.
Back in the day when I was coaching Hana Peljto was knocked silly in an AAU game and was taken to the hospital for observation with a head injury. It turned out she had a mild concussion. Head injuries are not anything to mess around with.

FALL CLINIC
This year the Minnesota Fall Girls Basketball Clinic will be held at Robbinsdale Cooper on October 5 & 6. Speakers include Minnesota Associate Head Coach Barb Smith; Kansas head Women's Basketball coach Bonnie Hendrickson (she is a Willmar native); St. Cloud assistant coach Carol Thelen; Concordia St. Paul head coach Paul Fessler, and St. Thomas head coach Ruth Sinn.

The event is open to anyone. Becoming a member of the State Coaches Association has benefits.
