Tournaments, Miss Basketball, Etc.

TOURNAMENTS
Michigan quarterfinals take place today all over the state. Tonight's best bet is the A quarter at Calihan Hall on Detroit Mercy campus between Auburn Hills Avondale and Southfield-Lathrup at 5:30 pm. The teams split on the year, but AH Avondale will not have the services of China Threatt who was injured in the second contest.
The semis will take place at the Breslin Center on Michigan State campus in East Lansing.
On Dec 1st the Cs play at 1 and 2:50 pm; Ds 6 and 7:50 pm
On Dec 2nd the As play 1 and 2:50 pm; Bs 6 and 7:50 pm
Finals on Dec 3rd: D 10 am; A noon; C 4 pm; B 6 pm.

The Becker Breakdown Classic takes place Saturday, Dec 3 starting noon with St. Cloud Tech vs Monticello; followed by Becker vs Waseca; Tartan vs St. Michael-Albertville; Eden Valley-Watkins vs Osakis; Blooming Kennedy vs Marshall (both teams are #1 in their class)
Tonight the Tartan tournament features Cretin-Derham Hall vs Mpls SW at 6; Tartan vs White Bear Lake at 8 pm.

The Lake Region tournament starts on Dec 1st at the Sports Center in Devils Lake

MICHIGAN MISS BASKETBALL
Alyssa DeHaan, Grandville is Miss Basketball. The 6-8 senior will be playing in the quarters tonight against unbeaten Benton Harbor. DeHaan averaged 25 ppg this season.
