MITCHELL SIGNS
Minneapolis Edison prep star Julianne Mitchell has signed a Dakota Athletic Conference letter of intent to play basketball at Valley City State announced head coach Jill DeVries.
VCSU is an NAIA school. Mitchell is the 2nd player from the Minnesota 2008 class to go to an NAIA school and the 62nd overall known to have plans to continue her career next year.
Earlier VCSU signed Emily Goedert of Britton-Hecla, SD. Goedert is the 4th South Dakota player in the 2008 class that is known to commit to an NAIA school and the 11th overall.
BIG 10 TOURNAMENT
Michigan beat Penn State 64-54. Carly Benson (Carney-Nadeau, MI) had 12 for Michigan. Janessa Wolff (Park Rapids) had 2 for PSU. Michigan now will face Iowa tomorrow in the quarterfinals.

The MIAC has released their all conference list. Carleton has five members. Gustavus had two.
St. Thomas coach Ruth Sinn was coach of the year.
