BIG 10 TOURNAMENT
The Big 10 tournament first round opens today with the quarters tomorrow.
SUN BELT TOURNAMENT
Arkansas State beat Florida Atlantic 68-50. Jana Momoh (Park Center) had 6 for FAU.
BIG 12
Colorado beat Missouri 63-47. Hannah Skildum (Mounds View) had 7 for Colorado.
Kansas State beat Kansas 61-50. Kelly Kohn (Adrian, MI) had 5 for Kansas.
Nebraska beat Iowa State 55-45. Cory Montgomrey (Cannon Falls) had 5 for Nebraska. Alison Lacey (Ballard, IA) had 14 for ISU. Amanda Nisleit (Woodbury) added 4 for the Cyclones.
MID AMERICAN
Miami of Ohio beat Ohio 82-72 in overtime. Lauren Kohn (Adrian, MI) had 24 for Ohio. Jackie Hiebert (Hopkins) did not score for Ohio.
Toledo beat Western Michigan 77-68. Tiera DeLaHoussaye (Detroit Country Day) had 20 for WMU.
Buffalo beat Kent State 50-44. Asheley Harkins (Saginaw Arthur Hill) had 3 for Kent State.
Ball State beat Northern Illinois 76-70 in overtime. Jessie Wilcox (Oshkosh West) had 12 for NIU.
Eastern Michigan beat Central Michigan 73-65. Brittany Tyson (Ann Arbor Huron) had 9 for EMU. Angel Chan (Wyoming Park, MI) had 22 for CMU.
MOUNTAIN WEST
TCU beat Air Force 85-50. Kathleen Schjodt (Hot Springs, SD) had 3 for AF.
Utah beat Colorado State 63-58. Elle Queen (Minnetonka) had 10 for CSU. Lauren Young (Edina) added 2 for the Rams.
AWARDS
South Dakota State had plenty of awards to pass around from the Summit League. Kristin Rotert (McCook Central, SD) was 6th player of the year and made the newcomer team. Jenn Warkenthien (Willow Lake, SD) was named to the first team. Andrea Verdegan (Flambeau, WI) and Maria Boever (Worthington) were honorable mention selections. Coach Aaron Johnston was named coach of the year.
UTEP's Jareica Hughes (Southfield-Lathrup, MI) was named player of the year in the C-USA. For all you smaller players---Hughes is 5-3.
In Big 12 Academic Awards Nebraska took home four honors. Among them: Cory Montgomery (Cannon Falls) and Kala Kuhlmann (Charter Oak-Ute, IA).
Kelly Kohn (Adrian, MI) of Kansas also made the Academic List.
For Iowa State Amanda Nisleit (Woodbury) made the Academic List as did Alison Lacey (Ballard, IA.

Augustana beat UN Omaha 81-66. Whitney Hofer and Amy Putoff, both of West Central, SD, had 20 each for Augustana. Cayla Hargrove (North St. Paul) had 14 for UNO.
MSU Mankato beat St. Cloud State 73-71. Jo Noreen (Albany) had 22 for Mankato. Talisha Barlow (Roseville) had 16 for St. Cloud.
North Dakota beat UM Duluth 69-61. Ashley Langen (Kittson Central) had 22 for UND. Jordanne Even (Detroit Lakes) had 13 for UMD.
