SCHECHINGER VERBALS
Katie Schechinger of IKM-Manning has verballed Drake on August 1. The 6-2 forward averaged 22.9 ppg for the 15-10 Hawks. Schechinger played her summer ball with IBCA Select Red. Schechinger was the MVP at the Dakota Showcase this summer.Schechinger is the 9th Iowa player from the 2009 class to verbal, all are headed to D1 programs.
Schechinger is the 5th IBCA Select Red player to verbal.
FARGO SPLIT
They are already starting to split Fargo South in anticipation of the new school Fargo Davies coming in 2010-2011. The Davies Eagles will not open their school until 2011 and will share Fargo South. From the Fargo Forum.

GOPHERS IN ITALY
Minnesota beat an all star Lombardy team in Florence, Italy 101-40. The Gophers are now 2-0. Zoe Harper led the squad with 22 points. Katie Ohm and Ashley Ellis-Milan each had 17 points.
