WITTE VERBALS
Ashley Witte, a 6-0 forward from Champlin Park High School has verbally committed to Southwest Minnesota State. Witte was being pursued by several D2 schools and a few D1 schools. Witte averaged 12.2ppg and 6.7 rpg for the Rebels. She was a key contributor on the Rebels state tournament team as a sophomore. She is currently 10th on the Rebels all time scoring list and 6th all time in blocks.On a separate note, the Rebels have had 8 seniors the past two seasons and 7 of them have gone on to play college basketball. The two most recent being Jessica Hoffman (St. Kate's) and Natalie Thomas (UM-Morris) from this year's senior class.
Witte is the 9th overall player from the 2009 Minnesota class to verbal and the 3rd headed to a D2 program.
