MINNEAPOLIS SOUTH
STARTERS
Taquoia Hammick (08) 4, 7, 57.1, .286 scored first basket on put back, but the post is not where South's bread is buttered. Her other basket came on an out of bounds play. She has improved over the year, but is not the prime focus of attack. defensively she is interested shot blocking.
Tyisha Smith (10) 12, 15, 80.0, .467 extremely quick and fast hence the nickname "the blur". She is strong, aggressive, has good jumping ability and can get hit in the air and maintain balance. She has no fear. Went to the line five times. Likes to penetrate. will pass it inside. needs to vary pace. has a tendency to rev it up too much so passes sail.
Ameshia Kearney (10) 10, 7, 142.9, .571 corner 3 point shooter. Big 3s early established lead. has speed. can finish break.
Ephesia Holmes (08) 22, 20, 110.0, .550 point guard. likes to drive and double pump. chanels her inner Khalid El-Amin. Went to the line 7 times. most shots off the dribble.
Tayler Hill (09) 31, 27, 114.8, .556 is a rare talent. big perimeter. most of her points are in the paint either on drives, transition or being fouled. Went to the line six times. has good body control and understands game. her favorite drive shot is the scoop. also has a nasty spin dribble. Hill doesn't get enough credit on defense. She had 15.5 d wraps. she understands what will happen next. She gets rebounds. She does have a tendency for a travel violation.
